ACESDV hosts a number of collaborative efforts to bring concerned leaders, citizens and communities together to solve some of the most pressing issues facing sexual and domestic violence survivors.

Communities of Color Committee

(Previously the Women of Color Committee) – (sign-up here)

  • Purpose: ACESDV Communities of Color Committee exists as a platform for survivors, advocates, and communities of color experiencing sexual and domestic violence through education, support, and advocacy.
  • Intended Participants: Those who identify as people of color wanting to end sexual and domestic violence in Arizona are welcome to join.

Immigration Workgroup

(Immigration professionals can sign-up here)

  • Purpose: The Immigration Workgroup is a group that comes together to discuss immigration issues that arise in our communities, collaborate and share resources. This may include immigration questions or processes, and current issues/updates.
  • Intended Participants: Member programs; multidisciplinary (immigration attorneys) Victim Advocates, any organization working with survivors.

S.H.A.R.E. (Strength, Hope, Awareness, Respect, Education) Survivors Advisory Committee

  • Purpose: Discuss issues related to sexual and domestic violence, participate in community awareness events, and serve as a voice for survivors through ACESDV’s mission and purpose. This committee meets on the second Saturday of every month.
  • Intended Participants: Any individual who has experienced sexual and/or domestic violence, stalking, harassment, or trafficking as an adult or child.

SPEAKERS BUREAU (A Branch of SHARE)

  • Purpose: To provide survivors with an opportunity to speak to the public via interviews, panel discussion and at trainings to discuss their personal experiences. This group does not have regular meetings but does offer quarterly trainings to the Speakers Bureau and community members about speaking out as a survivor publicly.
  • Intended Participants: All individuals who have experienced sexual and/or domestic violence, stalking, harassment, trafficking, or were exposed to one of the above as a child.

 

ACTION CIRCLE (A Branch of SHARE)

  • Purpose: The ‘Action Circle’ is a survivor-led group, informed by legal professionals and child development experts, who support the development and improvement of trauma-informed court systems that prioritize the safety and wellbeing of survivors & children.
  • Intended Participants: Any individual who has experienced sexual and/or domestic violence, stalking, harassment, or trafficking as an adult or child and has interacted with the family court system.

Rainbow Collective Committee

Purpose: To stand in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities and to enhance awareness, support, and response to LGBTQIA+ survivors of domestic and sexual violence. This group meetings monthly.
Intended Participants: Any interested and supportive community members. Let’s Talk About Pronouns
