DESCRIPTION:ACESDV invites you to join our virtual August Community Partners Addressing Sexual Violence (CPASV) meeting on August 20th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This collaborative gathering brings together advocates\, service providers\, and community partners to discuss emerging issues\, strengthen connections\, and enhance support for survivors of sexual violence. \nThis interactive event will include a session on the neurobiology of trauma\, exploring how trauma impacts the brain and body and how this knowledge can strengthen trauma-informed responses. Participants will also engage in a discussion on supporting survivors who choose not to report\, including alternative healing modalities\, survivor-centered resources\, and service standards. \nThe day will conclude with a guided discussion on organizational updates\, funding challenges\, trends within communities\, and opportunities for collaboration and support across agencies. \nParticipants will receive a 30-minute lunch break during this event.
