PHOENIX, December 10, 2025 — The Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence (ACESDV) is pleased to announce the election of Memory Dawn Long Chase to its Board of Directors. Memory brings more than 13 years of experience in the anti-gender-based violence movement and a longstanding commitment to supporting survivors across Arizona.

Memory is an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and has dedicated her career to serving communities impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, teen dating violence, human trafficking, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives. Her experience includes leadership roles in statewide systems and years of direct advocacy in community-based programs, including overseeing the Outreach Department at a multi service agency.

In 2023, Memory received the Arizona Attorney General’s Courage in Action Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding work with crime victims in Arizona. Before joining the Southwest Indigenous Women’s Coalition, she worked with chronically homeless Native American adults in Maricopa County. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Community Advocacy and Social Policy and is pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Arizona State University. Memory also serves as a member of the 2025–2026 American Indian College Fund Student Ambassador Cohort.

“We are honored to welcome Memory to the ACESDV Board of Directors,” said Jenna Panas, CEO of ACESDV. “Her depth of experience, her commitment to advocacy, and her strong connection to Indigenous communities strengthen our mission and our collective work across Arizona.”

Memory’s areas of expertise include domestic and sexual violence, teen dating violence, stalking, substance use, trauma, sex trafficking, trauma informed care, and historical and intergenerational trauma. ACESDV looks forward to her leadership and partnership in advancing safety, justice, and healing for survivors throughout the state.
