Childhood Sexual Abuse Awareness and Prevention: Familial Sex Trafficking in Rural Communities

In this 90-minute webinar, we will focus on childhood sexual abuse, specifically understanding definitions, terminology, and dynamics of familial sex trafficking. This includes the identification of childhood sexual abuse as well as potential indicators and tactics of familial sex trafficking. We will identify the traumatic impact on survivors of childhood sexual abuse, challenges in receiving support, as well as review best practices and cultural considerations in working with survivors in rural communities. We will also share prevention strategies and education for childhood sexual abuse and the importance of coordinated community response.
